I saw these guys pitch in the Tigers’ most recent heyday. It was a glorious time: Three-fifths of Detroit Tigers’ 2012-14 rotation is in World Series. The Ringer has another write-up on the missed out glory the Tigers and their fans might have had.

I’m happy for the three and their success. I rooted for Verlander, for my friend Timothy DeBlock (not a player; big fan), and for the Astros the year Houston won the World Series. This time I will root for the Nationals so Max and Aníbal can get rings.

The Tigers of Detroit? sigh.
